For students who want to MD MS admission in various postgraduate and diploma courses in government or private medical colleges in India, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate), often known as NEET PG, serves as a qualifying and ranking test. This examination took the place of the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE).

What are NEET PG Courses?

For students who want to admission in various postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), and diploma courses in government or private medical colleges in India, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) (also known as NEET (PG)) is a qualifying and ranking exam.

NEET PG 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates registered in an Indian educational institution who possess a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree or a provisional MBBS pass certificate issued in accordance with the Indian Medical Council Act, an MBBS registration certificate issued by the Indian or state medical council, and who have completed or will soon complete an internship of one year are eligible to apply for the exam. For medical graduates, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) administers the NEET PG exam. Regarding the completion deadline for the NEET PG internship, the administration has published a notice. The deadline for finishing the internship has now been extended to August 11, 2023.

NEET PG 2023 Exam Pattern

It includes dermatology, anesthesiology, radiology, psychiatry, orthopaedics, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, forensic medicine, social & preventive medicine, general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, otorhinolaryngology and ophthalmology.

NEET PG 2023 Admit Card

The admit card for NEET PG 2023 will only be made available online to registered applicants. The admit card for the NEET PG 2023 exam won't be given to those who are determined to be ineligible. Applicants will need a login ID and password to download it from the NBE's official website. Individual candidates will not receive NEET PG admission cards from NBE. Candidates will be informed of the availability via email or SMS, etc.

NEET PG 2023 Result

For those candidates who took the exam,Via their login ID and password, applicants will be able to get the NEET PG 2023 result. NEET PG 2023 was conducted on March 5 by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), which released the results on its official website on March 14. According to the most recent information, the NEET PG 2023 scorecard can be downloaded from the NBE official website on or after 25 March 2023. The candidate needs to be aware that the score will only be good for the current academic year. The scorecard, which will be made public following the announcement of the results, will include the candidate's name, roll number, category, overall score (out of 800), as well as the total number of right and wrong answers. Candidate eligibility for the exam depends on achieving the minimum cutoff score.

NEET PG Cut off 2023

The NEET PG cut off is the minimum grade point average that applicants must achieve to be admitted to MD/MS and diploma programmes. A lower score than the NBE-established cutoff level disqualifies a candidate for admission. The NEET PG 2023 cut off will vary depending on the candidate's category. The cutoff for the NEET PG exam is 40% for OBC, 40% for ST, and 50% for general applicants. The cutoff percentile for generic PwD applicants is 45. If not enough candidates meet the requirements, NBE will adjust the standard cutoff percentile for the NEET PG result.

In nbe.edu.in, the NEET PG cutoff scores for 2023 have also been made public along with the results. The qualifying percentile is 291 for General, 257 for SC/ST/OBC, and 274 for General-PH, according to the most recent NEET PG cutoff.
